If you are looking for a place that is
surrounded with lush greenery, pastoral farms, gushing valleys and snow
capped mountains, Manali is the place to head for. Named after the Hindu
lawgiver Manu, The word literally means the abode of Manu.
The pace is usually very famous for apples. The
british had introduced this edible fruit at a time when the fruit was not
native to Manali. The tourism industry boomed after the rise of militancy in
the late 1980s.
Talking about tourism, the place
is loaded with people in the peak summers where people immensely enjoy the
plalaptable and quintesecent surrounding of this heavenly abode. Nature
lovers and Honeymooners usually flock in a large number to this exotic
destination.
Transport
Road from delhi to Manali is
very good. Although lenthy, the long stretch is easily covered enjoying the
beautiful landscapes. It is a treat for the eye. The hghway connecting the
road is NH-21. This route is the highest motorable road.
By train :
Manali is not easily
approachable by rail. The neaest stations are in Patahkot, Klaka and
Chandigarh.
