Health of the hair totally depends on the blood circulation and nutrition. Protein-which makes hair, is necessary for its growth and repairs. A low protein diet can change the texture of the hair making it dull, lifeless and thinning.

HAIR LOSS and DANDRUFF:
Inadequate Vitamin B, low thyroid level, hormonal misbalance, low hemoglobin levels, Diabetes, any acute illness can cause dryness and leads to brittle hair. Severe dandruff also leads to hair loss. Eating lot of refined foods like chocolates, burgers, pizzas, sugars, and soft drinks can also lead to dandruff. Massaging the scalp with warm oil would also help in controlling dandruff.

GREYING HAIR:
Taking sufficient antioxidants as vegetables, fruits, juices, almonds, walnuts, and cashew nuts can prevent it. Graying of hair at an early age is due to heredity or excessive stress or lack of nutritious diet.
Healthy hair can be maintained by:
*Consuming rich diet in protein, iron like eggs, leafy vegetables, soybeans, fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains.
*Keeping the scalp clean.
*Exercise daily to keep mind and soul calm.
*Avoid refined foods and table sugar.
*Improving circulation by massaging scalp with warm oil.

Although many hair problems arise due to defect in genes and hormones but a significant improvement in hair health is taking vitamin supplements.
